  • Thankful Day 13-15

I have been out of town so I'm catching up on the last three days.

Thankful day 13-I am thankful for my best friend and her husband.  I don't know why God brouht us together as friends or why he chose us for eachother but I know that every day I thank God for them.  They have been with Tim and I through some of our lowest days and have experienced the highest highs with us as well.  They constantly spoil us with their generousity and love and we are definately the ones who have more to gain from their friendship than we give to them.  They love us unconditionally . . . faults and all and are always willing to listen to us.  I hate to think what our lives would have been like the last few years without their encouragement.  We can tell them ANYTHING and not worry about being judged or looked down on for our opinions or thoughts.  I think God put the four of us together because we compliment each other so well . . . together we are all complete.    I am so very thankful for them and I hope they realize how special they are to us.

Thankful day 14-I am thankful for my girlfriends from Cedarville.  We had such a close knit group of friends it truly was special.  Some of us still get together at least once a year with our families and we also try and get together just us girls as least once a year.  These girls weekends are super special and a time to reflect on our past years together and plan out the next year.  Plus, of course we eat tons of chocolate, spend hours scrapbooking and watching chick flicks.  This years trip was especially special since we had a new pregnancy to celebrate.    Congratulations Lia!!!  I pray my friendship with these girls will only continue to grow.  We need some of our other Cedarville girls to move closer so they can rejoin the fun.  Sara and I figured we have been great friends for over 13 years now.  That's almost half of my life that I have been hanging out with her.    I hope that we have at least 13 more girls weekends and years of the strong friendship we all four have together.

Thankful day 15-I am thankful today for the talents God has given me.  I am unworthy to be given responsibility for anything but God has given me talents to use for his glory anyway.  I am thankful for His entrusting me and prayerful that I will always use them for His glory.

  • Thankful Day 12

Today I am thankful for the Titus 2 Women in my life.  My church does not have many young women in my phase of life right now-most are at least 10 years older than me and have school age or older children.  We have a lot of middle age women and older women though and I don't want to take them for granted.  Although I may not have the friendships with people my age at church right now . . . these older women have taught me much about what it means to be a good mother, wife and even a good daughter.  I am grateful to these Godly examples for the lessons they have taught me over the years and the way their life shines as a "life sermon" every day.

  • Aquafresh Iso-Active Whitening Foaming toothpaste

I was sent a free bottle of this foaming toothpaste and then I was to try it and post on my Xanga what I thought.

    Aquafresh iso-active whitening toothgel

So, here goes.  Ewwwww, ewwwww, ewwwww this stuff is nasty!!!  It tastes like you are using shaving cream or hairspray to clean your teeth.  Now, it DOES give you a really clean feeling when you are done and the fresh feeling in my mouth lasted longer than with other pastes but I honestly don't think I could continue using it because the taste is so foul to begin with.  Just my opinion obviously but I wouldn't waste my money if I were you.  Stick to the old fashioned toothpaste you already have.

  • Thankful Day 11

Today I am thankful for the military veterans who made a sacrifice to make our country what it is today.  I am thankful to the soldiers past and present for their military service and to their families for making the commitment to serve our country together.  Thank you veterans, the current military and their families for all that you do.

  • Thankful Thoughts

I forgot to do this at the first of the month like I had intended . . . I wanted to list something I am thankful for every day of November.  So, I guess today will be the top 10 followed by one each day until Thanksgiving.  Preparing my heart for the day of Thanksgiving early.

    So, I am thankful for,

    1.  My salvation-I was saved as a little girl and I don't ever want to take my salvation and my Savior for granted.

    2.  My Godly husband-who started as my best friend and has grown into a true soul mate.  I love you!!

    3.  My son-Andrew, you drive me crazy sometimes, but I give thanks every day that God asked us to wait because he had you in mind for our family.  I love you very much!

    4.  My dad-who taught me how to be a Christian and how to live every aspect of the Christian life even when it's hard.  For teaching me ethics, and for just being there . . . at every sports event, every music event and everything he could get involved in my life.

    5. My mom-who taught me how to love the unloveable and how to give of yourself unselfishly to others.  For teaching me to be organized and responsible . . . and for being there . . . even when I didn't want you . . . (on every field trip, every bus trip and every event I went on)  but now know I NEEDED you (and secretly was glad you were there)

    6.  My sisters-who taught me what it means to argue, bicker and fight while loving someone and caring for them more than they will ever know.  and for singing with me in the car and always letting me have the melody . . . thanks for always doing the hard parts.

    7.  My parents and grandmother who saw a college education as something that was necessary and helped me pay for it so that I could begin my married life debt free.

    8.  My inlaws who raised a fantastic son that is God fearing and an amazing father . . . a testimony to their leadership and Christian life.

    9.  My house-yes, it is for sale . . . but I am thankful that we have this beautiful, unique house . . . it has given us many memories and although we feel it is time to move on . . . this house is and always will be a special place to us.

    10.  My church family-who watched me grow up, welcomed my husband with open arms, and has now "adopted" Andrew along with us.  They are such a Godly example to me and although the people in the church sometimes change . . . God has used each person in a different way in my life to help mold me in Christlikeness and I wouldn't change a thing.

  • LOL-my day today in a nutshell

    Cleaning Poem

I asked the Lord to tell me
Why my house is such a mess.
He asked if I'd been 'computering',
And I had to answer 'yes.'

He told me to get off my fanny,
     And tidy up the house.
And so I started cleaning up...
     The smudges off my mouse.

I wiped and shined the topside.
     That really did the trick....
I was just admiring my good work.

    I didn't mean to 'click.'

But click, I did, and oops - I found
     A real absorbing site
That I got SO way into it -
I was into it all night.

    Nothing's changed except my mouse.
     It's very, very shiny.
I guess my house will stay a mess.....
While I sit here on my hiney.

Unity among Believers--taken from a sermon by A.W. Tozer

Has it ever occurred to you that one hundred pianos all tuned to the same fork are automatically tuned to each other?  They are of one accord by being tuned, not to each other, but to one standard to which EACH must individually bow.

So, one hundred worshipers meeting together, each one looking toward Christ, are in heart nearer to each other than they could possibly be were they to become "unity" conscious and turn their eyes away from God to strive for closer fellowship with each other.

    Jesus Draw me close

    closer Lord to you

Let the world around me fade away

    Jesus draw me close

    closer Lord to you

for I desire to worship and obey.

  • Fun Coloring

I just found a pretty fun little coloring project if you have kids.  Go to crayola.com/colorme and you can upload digital photos and turn them into coloring book pages.  They even let you add funny stuff to the pictures (hats, quote boxes, glasses . . . ) it's a great project for kids old enough to use the internet to design their own but with a code you can print them and have your little ones color them.  (Maybe print a picture of grandpa, design a funny face, color it and send him a copy?)  Anyway, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.  If you have a really talented little artist . . . maybe have them color it and FRAME it for Grandpa for Christmas.

If you are a teacher . . . maybe take a picture of the entire class and print it out in coloring book form.  Then the entire class will have a keepsake of their friends to color.

You can make printouts for 24 hours for free using this code.  PR24QCHT
