I forgot to do this at the first of the month like I had intended . . . I wanted to list something I am thankful for every day of November. So, I guess today will be the top 10 followed by one each day until Thanksgiving. Preparing my heart for the day of Thanksgiving early.
So, I am thankful for,
1. My salvation-I was saved as a little girl and I don't ever want to take my salvation and my Savior for granted.
2. My Godly husband-who started as my best friend and has grown into a true soul mate. I love you!!
3. My son-Andrew, you drive me crazy sometimes, but I give thanks every day that God asked us to wait because he had you in mind for our family. I love you very much!
4. My dad-who taught me how to be a Christian and how to live every aspect of the Christian life even when it's hard. For teaching me ethics, and for just being there . . . at every sports event, every music event and everything he could get involved in my life.
5. My mom-who taught me how to love the unloveable and how to give of yourself unselfishly to others. For teaching me to be organized and responsible . . . and for being there . . . even when I didn't want you . . . (on every field trip, every bus trip and every event I went on) but now know I NEEDED you (and secretly was glad you were there)
6. My sisters-who taught me what it means to argue, bicker and fight while loving someone and caring for them more than they will ever know. and for singing with me in the car and always letting me have the melody . . . thanks for always doing the hard parts.
7. My parents and grandmother who saw a college education as something that was necessary and helped me pay for it so that I could begin my married life debt free.
8. My inlaws who raised a fantastic son that is God fearing and an amazing father . . . a testimony to their leadership and Christian life.
9. My house-yes, it is for sale . . . but I am thankful that we have this beautiful, unique house . . . it has given us many memories and although we feel it is time to move on . . . this house is and always will be a special place to us.
10. My church family-who watched me grow up, welcomed my husband with open arms, and has now "adopted" Andrew along with us. They are such a Godly example to me and although the people in the church sometimes change . . . God has used each person in a different way in my life to help mold me in Christlikeness and I wouldn't change a thing.
